About This Course

The AC & Refrigeration Technician course covers the full spectrum of air conditioning and refrigeration systems — from basic refrigeration theory to the installation and servicing of modern inverter split-AC units.

This is one of the highest-earning trades for technicians in Nepal and abroad. Qualified AC technicians are in strong demand in hotels, offices, hospitals, and the Gulf construction market.

What You Will Learn

  • Refrigeration cycle: compression, condensation, expansion, evaporation
  • Refrigerants: R-32, R-410A, R-22 — properties and safe handling
  • Split AC installation: indoor unit, outdoor unit, copper piping, drain
  • Gas charging using manifold gauges and vacuum pump
  • Diagnosing common faults: not cooling, compressor failure, PCB errors
  • Servicing: cleaning, filter replacement, coil washing
  • Inverter technology and variable-speed compressors
  • Commercial refrigeration: display cases, walk-in coolers (overview)
