About This Course
The Carpentry & Wood Working course trains students in furniture making, door and window frame construction, wood joinery, and finishing — covering both traditional hand tools and modern power tools.
Carpenters are in demand across Nepal's construction and interior design sectors, and Gulf countries consistently hire skilled woodworkers for hotel, office, and residential fit-out projects.

- Wood types: hardwood, softwood, plywood, MDF — selection and use
- Hand tools: chisels, planes, saws, marking gauges
- Power tools: circular saw, jigsaw, router, drill, sander — safe operation
- Measurement, marking out, and precision cutting
- Wood joints: mortise and tenon, dowel, dovetail, butt joint
- Basic furniture construction: table, chair, bed frame, cabinet
