About This Course

The Solar Panel Installation course trains students to design, install, and commission off-grid and grid-tied solar power systems — one of the fastest-growing sectors in Nepal as households and businesses seek reliable power.

With Nepal's electricity supply improving but still unreliable in many areas, solar technicians are in high demand across rural and urban regions. This is an excellent 2-month course to complement an electrical wiring qualification.

What You Will Learn

  • Solar energy fundamentals: irradiance, panel specifications, efficiency
  • Off-grid system design: load calculation, panel sizing, battery sizing
  • Solar panel types: mono, poly, bifacial — selection and comparison
  • Panel mounting: rooftop, ground-mount, angle optimization
  • DC wiring: panel strings, combiner boxes, charge controllers
  • Battery types: lead-acid and lithium — installation and maintenance
  • Inverter types: hybrid, off-grid, grid-tied — installation and configuration
  • System commissioning, testing, and handover
  • Fault diagnosis: common issues and troubleshooting
  • Grid-tied system overview and net-metering basics
